National Retail Properties

National Retail Properties is a NYSE traded real estate investment trust. We invest in freestanding single-tenant properties net-leased to creditworthy companies. Our tenants tend to be retail oriented and include brands such as Staples Home Depot Barnes & Noble and Walgreens. The common denominator in our tenants’ decisions to lease their real estate rather than own is the economic driver to invest free capital in the growth of their businesses. More specifically these companies choose to invest in people logistics and technology rather than real estate. In addition many of our tenants are looking to improve their balance sheets pay down existing debt boost working capital and/or gain immediate access to cash by unlocking the value in their real estate.
