Montreal, Canada, June 14th, 2010. Martins Industries, manufacturer of tire storage, handling, and displays equipments, moved to a 42 000 square foot plant. The state of the art manufacturing facility is newly equipped with CNC and automated press brake, cutting saw, Motoman robotic welding equipment and welding machines. The decision to leave former plant in St-Alexander was taken in a context of growth, and will enable this plant to triple its production. The painting of racks, carts or displays will now be done in-house with the new powder coating line. The new manufacturing plant will also consolidate the Canadian distribution center.

The production capacity will range from 20 to 200 units a day according to the complexity of the tire racks or tire displays. ‘’We added two dedicated working cells for research and development for new products, prototyping and fabrication of 1 to 10 units orders. With these working cells and a wide range of steel inventory, we can build prototypes quicker.’’ relate Jean-Michel Boulais plant director.
